Antonio Traverso is Senior Lecturer in Screen Studies at Curtin University. He studied philosophy in Chile in the 1980s, completed a PhD on the philosophy of vision at Murdoch University in 2003, and among his recent publications is, as editor, Southern Screens: Cinema, Culture and the Global South (Routledge, 2016).
